Title: 2009 Ducati Pricing
Post by: semyhr on February 14, 2009, 05:25:15 AM
So I recently visited the local dealer's web site and to my surprise the price of the Monster 696 has increased by 5%. Which is good for me, as I also got a pretty good deal which was provided by the Duc factory for the first few monsters to be delivered after the presentation and they were cheaper by approximately 10% and now with those 5 more % added, I feel like I got a really good deal late last year in September. Is this some local initiative or is this a global trend for this year?

I know for sure Triumph has done the same, and I wouldn't be surprised if everyone else did too.  Weak dollar vs euro has forced higher MSRP's in order to maintain the same profit margins I guess.

yea, they did raise the prices.  Both dealers her in NH did.  Last time I was in, I asked about it, was told Ducati had increased them.

Strange, knowing the current state of the global economy.

Anyways my increase was in Euro so the currency weakness doesn't work here, they could be cheaper here.
