Title: Hello all Post by: b.b. on May 14, 2008, 06:53:41 AM I'm Bill in Fort Worth.
Just purchased an 848 to enjoy before my back forces me to ride something more upright. I haven't had a bike for almost 10 years, so it's been fun getting back into it. I used to live in Japan and enjoyed riding there, but was quickly reminded of the lack of concern for bikers when I returned to the U.S. As time went by, I missed having a bike more and more, so I got over the worry. More importantly, talked my wife into getting over it... Title: Re: Hello all Post by: Scottish on May 14, 2008, 10:20:50 AM Mmmmmmm.... 848= yummy. Welcome home! [moto]

Title: Re: Hello all Post by: b.b. on May 14, 2008, 02:06:16 PM I spent four years just outside of Tokyo and another four years in Okinawa. I was aiming high at the time... I was also in Iwakunki for 4 months.
I went through a few bikes while there. I had a YSR80 the whole time. Too funny as a 6' guy riding a YSR. It was a blast showing up on that when I rode with new people. I also had an RZ350, CBR400, and GSXR750. It was quite interesting to be in a place that respected and accepted motorcyclists. It was also fun to have access to so many different sized bikes in both 2 and 4 stroke that were and are not available in the U.S. Title: Re: Hello all Post by: somegirl on May 14, 2008, 03:00:19 PM It was quite interesting to be in a place that respected and accepted motorcyclists. There is quite an interesting bike culture in Asia. :) I wouldn't mind having a go sometime, but probably not in the heart of Tokyo. ;) |
