Title: Clutch-side case cover seal
Post by: DucHead on February 18, 2009, 12:55:35 PM
It seems that seal #11 shown in the figure below is 20x30x7mm for most Ducatis.

I have a case cover for which this seal is 20x38x7mm.  Does anyone know which bike(s) have this larger o.d. seal???

I think you are seriously over complicating this powdercoating the cover thing.

Just pry the seal out, and put it back in once it's been baked  [thumbsup]

I have a case cover (now powdercoated) off a different bike -- now I know its from a 999 with a different, larger, easier to remove seal.

The case cover on my desmoquattro S4R has a seal that is literally wedged between the perforated brass bush and the cover, and neither can be removed.  It is NOT like your testastretta cover.

edit:  the figure in the OP is from an '03 model and has a different seal than my '05.
