LOL. Got a kick out of that toilet. If you can't afford the whole thing you can order just the seat at the CarbonFiberGear website ;)
yep, I was about to say...
that toilet has always been the bacon of CF parts ;D
What kind of action does a toilet have to see to warrant being made out of CF?!?

I know what you mean. I've gone through changing items out with CF replacements and told myself that at least I am lightening the bike. Now I am looking at items to add to the bike and I can't use that as an excuse. 8)

I'm interested in a set of the standard CF if he has plugs for the odd sized hole on the left side of the frame just in front and under the seat and the two on the tail. These three are not the same size as all the other standard frameplug sets I've seen and I've just been using the OEM plugs and matching plastic plugs I've found at either a hardware or autoparts store. BTW - how much?

Yikes! I have that info at home somewhere but IIRC, the Texalium Silvers' went for $50 (for a set of five) and $35 for the standard CF, same preset selection. He never responded as to whether he was amenable to having his email posted here. I will follow up with him. I would hope to be seeing my CF windscreen this week...
Here is the update I promised on the CF Windscreen:

I'll admit it, I bought a watch. (http://www.carbonfibergear.com/deal-magico-mens-carbon-fiber-watch-with-winder-87-off/)
My old Seiko got messed up in a crash last year (it was in my pocket at the time) and I'd been looking for a replacement. Of course, for a watch that uses carbon fiber, this thing is goddam heavy, thanks to the water-resistant stainless case and a band that I swear has DID 525 stamped somewhere.
Gotta admit, the sweeping second-hand is kinda mesmerizing.

I was looking for a skin for my HP TouchSmart tx2 because I didn't like the little bubbles design that came on it and found the Garskin dry carbon skins. Okay, not real carbon but it does look and feel like it. I also got one for my DS Lite. They come already precut to the device they will be applied on and so it's just peel and stick. Makes them look classy too. [thumbsup]
I have a Carbon Fiber Single Sided Swingarm somewhere. I think it is in Chris@cyclecats garage. Who knows anymore.
Just waiting for him to pull the engine, get it over to Indy Ducati so Matt Carr can do a little motor work, fit some slimmer side cases on it, paint, re-install, fabricate some pieces, and maybe I'll be riding by August.

I thought you already had that installed. Having issues or is it a direct bolt on?

I am not doing the work, so it has been on a few other busy individuals schedules.
It is not a direct bolt on because the 996 S4r motor is wider than the cases on a 996 SBK, so it won't directly fit.
we were looking into some different engine options and decided the easiest was to put narrower cases on my existing motor and not have to make the beast with two backs around with also sourcing a different motor, selling mine, etc etc.
We just need to get it over to Indianapolis for the motor work, then back here to get painted, bolted on, and then some suspension and exhaust custom work.
Sounds like you need to buy another bike so you don't miss most of the season [evil]

Last threadjack.........
I've also got my first Ducati which is a 99 750 with some FCR's and other goodies.
It keeps a smile on my face [thumbsup]
I am, though, about to buy my wife some sort of enduro bike as she wants that for her first ride. She doesn't like riding my 99 yet as it is my baby, so we are searching out a nice dual purpose bike for her. She is afraid that she will drop my Duc and I will blow a head gasket in anger. I tell her this isn't the case, but I'd sort of be heart broken to see a big ding in my bike.
But then again.........I love my wife and a bike is just a bike. Learning to ride is an experience. We've all dropped our first, second, third, or 4th bikes (ok, at least I have) in our garage, parking lot, etc.
So if she dropped it, I'd be pissed for about 2minutes and move on.
Then I'd be forced to spend money in the state of NH at DP's shop.........

I bought it for myself in 2005.
It just so happened that one rides in the house and the other wanted to learn
and
I have two bikes.
At the time, I hadn't saved up enough to buy her a beater bike.
But we went out to some parking lots to get her acquainted, she was scared of the front brakes (99's had one rotor, I upgraded to dual disc.......that make the beast with two backser's brakes are a bit scary at first).
So back to the saving board to get funds for yet another bike........shame shame
