Hey Guys,
It has been a while since I have been around. Life dealt me some serious crap for the last couple of years and it seems like things might finally be getting better and falling back into place.

I wanted to let you know after all this time, justice is finally being served and the DPS cop that hit Mark finally faced the courts and yesterday was found guilty of Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon. Since it was considered dangerous, the deputies came into the courtroom and took him away right then. He will now have to go to sentencing, but I think will get minimum of 5 years and a max of 15. Had to go back today to show proof of injuries to mark, pretty apparent with no leg.

Reminder to wear your gear :-\
I am not sure if everyone here knew that mark went through a lot more surgeries, due to bone spurs and ended up getting mersa and had a hard time getting rid of a bad infection in the leg. He finally got a new leg in January and is doing really good with it.

He is doing better now :)
I wanted to say sorry to everyone for disappearing like I did. I lost my job a week before Marks accident and as some of you know, I crashed pretty bad myself as the fundraiser I did for him. I lost MY bike and sold for scrap and gave the money to Mark. With everything else going on and no work for 6 months. I lost my house and my truck too. I had to kind of restart from scratch, it wouldn't be a big deal if I was single but with three kids and being a single dad, it really sucked. I was working for duckduckdave, but the economy handed down some serious blows to everyone and left there in Oct.

My Bike :(
Since then I started my own business making kids beds and it's going pretty good and I am starting to get orders and working on beds and bedrooms. www.kidscustomplaybeds.com
After my crash and short term memory loss, I know I never finished sending out all the shirts. It wasn't to screw anyone over or because I didn't care, life was just kicking me in the balls and I was just trying to keep myself standing.
Just wanted to say sorry for being MIA, and once I get my balls back, I will on a duc and riding with you guys again. :)
P.S. I still have a box of the shirts, so if I owe you one, let me know and I will ship it. With moving and everything else I lost track of everything. Just PM me.
I just wanted to let you guys know, about the case and that some justice has been served. [clap]
It felt good to know he didn't get away with it just because he was a cop. He ended up being treated like anyone else.
Thanks for all the support and being there when we needed it.
I miss my second family and friends.
Larry
huge f'n hug [thumbsup]
Good to hear that things are changing for the better [thumbsup] Lots of people wondered where you went.

I don't know if there are enough words to express how I feel at this moment.
I guess the Almighty wants you around for a while longer. I'm so sorry for what happened to you and what you had to endure.
I had a crash and I thought for a while I wasn't going to make it . What you went through was ten times worse then my crash and you made it.
There are good things waiting for you . Everyday is a bonus from here out. Dolph
Cripes, I remember this posting from a loong time ago..
Glad to see an asshole get it even if it doesn't make your bud whole.
Apology not accepted because you have nothing to apologize about. Man, you've had it rough, I'm glad things are turning around. Great to have you back!
Keep your chin up Larry, same goes for your Bro.
Welcome back too. [thumbsup]

"Life dealt me some serious crap" that's an understatement dude you've been thru some serious sh!t.
Glad that things are starting to come around. And that justice is beeing serve.
Gongrats on the recovery and you now get to move the the front of the "real" bikers line. I hope all this ends with some significant cash floating your way - I understand there are some pretty good housing deals out there.
Good to hear from you Larry! Glad to hear you're making it through the tough times. [thumbsup]
Hmm...5 years, huh?! Well, hopefully, prison justice will be served and he gets his azz beat (in one way or another) daily. :-X
BTW..you may want to put up a *warning* in the title. The s/o just sat next to me as I was scrolling through the pics. :-\
Wow, good job sticking it out on both fronts [thumbsup]
And welcome back!
best wishes brother.
Glad to see you back up and around.
I never saw the original story( I'm new)
Good luck with the beds, gonna go check em out now!!!!
Russ
Wow!!
I checked in today and saw so many nice post and it really made me miss being here.
Mark did get a small settlement, but not much after the doctors and lawyers took there part. He had over 1,000,000 in doctors bills alone. I guess having 30+ surgeries and the 3 weeks in ICU just add up super fast.
Yesterday they proved there was injury so he will be facing more time and it could be 15 years. It's never nice to see the out come of what happens to both family's from drinking and driving, but at least he didn't get to walk away just because he was a cop.
The DPS officer, still couldn't get over the fact he was being charged and that they were even continuing with the case. He was super arrogant and said "I am a cop, I take classes and work DUI task force, I know how to drink and drive"
After the accident when the other cops told him to go sit by the wall and he went over there stood up and was swaying around. He was asked why he wouldn't sit down and he said. "I am policeman and have served for 22 years, I am above that." Marks lawyer made a note to remind him that Mark was laying on the assfault because of him, but he was to good to sit on it?
The guy really came ac cross as a huge arrogant jerk, but maybe prison will change that.
I just wanted to say I misses the love and family here and thanks for all the support.
Hoping to be back on two wheels some time soon.
Larry
hopefully somebody in the pokey makes it hard for him to sit down.
give Mark our best [thumbsup]
"i know how to drink and drive"
just... wow.
I'm really glad this came through the way it did
however
i don't know about the rest of you but it leaves me kinda hollow
I'm happy that asshole is going to jail
but
it doesn't really change anything for mark
he still lost his leg and spent so long tore up
the "justice" doesn't make up for it
Hell ya! Welcome back!

Never does.
Hey Larry,
you don't know me, but just wanted to offer whatever encouragement I can. Damn, life dealt a rough hand to you and your brother over the past couple of years. Hang in there, man.
Roy. [beer]
Wish the best for you and your brother! If you need a shop in the east valley to work at, you got one here. We have enough fab equipment to build you a bike form the ground up!

Never does.
vengence and justice never do fully make up for a bad act. guess that is why they say you its the one thing that you can eat over and over till you are more than full, but at the end of the day you are still left with an empty feeling.
good luck to you and your brother, glad to see that at least the person that did the act will not be on the streets for some time.
welcome back larry :)
thanks for the update on your brother's case!
Does anyone have the link to the original post with everything that happened?
BC.
Jail? Hell, once those inside find out he's a cop of any length of time, jail is the least of his worries. [clap]
Glad to hear things are starting to improve, thanks for the update. Hang in there. [thumbsup]
Keep your head up bro
