Title: What's up with Cagiva?
Post by: Travman on February 20, 2009, 07:51:13 PM
This is all speculation, but I found it interesting.  Cagiva may use the Rotax-built Helicon 1125 powerplant Buell uses for a new Superbike and a new Elefant.  Read more here:

Harley-Davidson has taken over the MV Agusta and Cagiva brands.  This is why there is speculation the Rotax-built 1125 engine which Buell uses will be used in the new Cagiva bikes.

Tizz is correct.

They restructured things so that MV was the parent company of Cagiva, then Harley bought MV.

Ergo, HD owns Cagiva.
