It all started with this thread (http://"http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=19151.0").  Wade through all of it if you want to, or just know that we've decided to probably rent out The Roxie Theater (http://"http://www.roxie.com/") for Sunday afternoon, April 5, 12-2.  We can bring our own booze and food, but the concession stand will be open to us at no charge if we request it.  The movie (+ a tentative $50 gift certificate towards stuff TBD) will be given away as a DOOR PRIZES at the end of the showing!!!   [thumbsup]

Friends/non-DMFers/non-riders are welcome but please do not make this an open invitation to BARF/SBR/etc. and carefully consider bringing children--I eat rowdy ones. The theater can legally hold up to 50 people.  I'll put down names of those interested along with your portion of cost after your name.  Theater is $200 to rent and the movie was $21.99 (already purchased movie, but theater has not been secured.)

In contingent upon the tickets not costing $40 bucks.

[laugh]  well, that's kinda how it works... if two weeks goes by and there are only six of us who want to do this, then we'll find a cheaper alternative.  We only need to get 10-11 people to commit to going and the total cost per person <$20.  Nothing is set in stone yet.  I need to figure out a total population and when people can make it.  I'm sure there will be a few folks who can't make it due to the date.  I can't have everyone saying that they're "tentative" though.   [cheeky]

Then find out what date works and then take roll.  Otherwise, we're pretty much all gonna be tentative.

That's more what this thread was about... I just put up the costs next to people's names so folks could gauge a rough price.  Trust me, if I didn't do it then everyone would be asking.

Have you tried to coordinate with advrider for this?  I'm sure they'd be interested and it would lower the cost. 

O'man, I know people there too.  One more invite-email and we will be forced into a larger venue. 

We're giving it away at the end of the showing. You can probably just borrow it.   :)


Who are advrider?  If Jim knows them, then I'll let him take on that.  Keep in mind that we're limited to 50.  I might have a few more people coming with me as well.  Will be closing the poll pretty soon...I think Mar. 8 is too soon.  Looks like Apr. 5 is probably it. 

I voted for the latest date hoping that it will be warmer and dry.

okay!!!  I hope April 5th is going to work out for most of you.  That was the favored date.  I managed to get the theater from 12-2 for the discount rate!  So, if I could start getting people to say for sure whether or not they can come, it would be coolio.  Hope to see you all there!  [thumbsup]  First post updated.
