Good work Pigmy on the hoist.
So what is cracked?
When are you going to do this repair?
Sorry toooo many questions. [roll]
Rob give Pigmy a chance to get sorted, i think he is still under the car hehehe
Pigmy, that hoist is awesome! I'd love something like that to work on my 4B.
Is it yours, or have you hired it for the job?
And when the car is raised are you relying on hydraulic pressure to hold it there, or are there some "pins" or "locks" to hold it up?
So mate, where are the wings ? [thumbsup]
Mmick
sssoooo mick where are the PHOTOS
What's the car?
Looks like an E36, M3 Mirrors, Motorsport rims.. 6cylinder engine judging by the pipes?

mate, it's a BMW
I help when I can
[laugh]
ok ok.yes its a bmw m3.i did get it cheap.but there is a crack in the diff carrier.unfortunately every conceivable bit aft of the tailshaft has to come off.
im just taking my time with it chasing this and leaning about that.just like my early ducati days.
as for the hoist, ducmon rob knows its been a project of mine for some time(thanks to the beijing olympics).
its basically two sets of hydraulic rams powered by a pump(control box).it lifts 3000kg to a max height of 1.9m.
in my garage as you can see its just big enough for me to squat under.it sure beets working from the floor.
it also serves a bike hoist using one ramp.i bought it from china for 2000aus.add about 500 for import , 500 for
quick release fittings, and 500 for 3 phase electricity.....you have 3.5 grands worth of equipment.worth every bit
to a little backyarder like me.
I wished I had one of those when I was playing with my Chryslers!! [roll]
Those Torqueflite boxes are bloody heavy when attempting to lift them into position while on yer back. ;)
