Title: Good, reasonably-priced mechanic/shop for servicing a Monster in Melbourne?
Post by: Grug on February 24, 2009, 02:43:17 AM
Hey guys,

Well I've now got the Duc roadworthy, but I think she's in pretty serious need of a service. The crowd who've done the roadworthy for me are willing to service it, but they specialize in Japanese bikes, and I keep hearing that it really is best to take Ducs to Ducati specialists.

So I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a mechanic/shop in or around Melbourne, who are good with Ducatis but don't charge the moon?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Mark

yeah go and see Brad, he's in the Oakliegh area.
My bike has always been maintained by him, even with the previous owners, and touch wood, never had any problems.
Plus he's always helpful and really knows his shit so each time I learn a bit more bout the insides of my bike.  [thumbsup]

and God said: let there be Brad Black....and there was.

listen, he may not be as good looking as me, but f$ck does he know how to talk to a Ducati!  ;D

all services are going to cost you same in my experiences....Brad isn't going to be cheaper than anyone else....but you'll save money cause it will be done right (kind of like the $120 I wasted at Ducati Richmond).

just took my bike to brad for its 10000 k service and front tyre change, opening air box, suspension set up (spring change front and rear) 14 tooth sprocket in the front, head bearing change and a issue with my power commander and couldn't be happier kept me informed with what was happening and knew his stuff !! would recommend to anyone !
