Title: Sydney North Ride Saturday 28th Feb.... Post by: Big T on February 24, 2009, 02:29:27 PM Okay I have been a bit quiet lately on DMF (all that work stuff with our so called recession... :'( ) so I need to go for a ride to clear the old head....
And with the Superbike gang off cavorting round the country side, there are a few of us left to keep the home fires burning.... :( Sssooooo I will be at the Dural MacDonald's on Saturday morning at 9:00am. From there it is up to Wisemans Ferry, round to the Old Pacific Highway and down to Berowa. So if anybody wants to come along for a liesurely cruise meet me there..... With the good wife off to Melb. for the weekend, I'm allowed out to play. Originally thought I might go for a ride along the Yarramalong Valley but, if its OK with you, might start at Dural for the first part of the ride then maybe peel off at Central Mangrove for Yarramalong. My speedo doesn't work [roll] The cable seems to have suffered a little damage as the rear hugger was unceremoniously ripped from its fixings (or snapped off at the fixing points actually). At some point on the ride I realised the speedo wasn't working and thinking 'I wonder how long its been like that' and then 'bugger, that's gonna be expensive'. It wasn't until we stopped sometime later and somebody asked if anyone had lost something ... a rear hugger perhaps, that I realised what the problem was [bang] Sounds like you guys had a good day. Some better than others (I certainly wasn't the worst effected) ... but the less said about that the better I think.
