Post by: Speeddog on February 26, 2009, 03:34:37 PM
Get your Ducati in for a major service (6k, 12k, etc.) between now and the end of March and get 10% off!

For example, 6k service on a 2-valve Monster, regularly $539, now $485 through the end of March.

 :)

12k for 2-valve Monster
Valve adjustment
Oil and filter change, screen clean
Hydraulics flush and bleed
Fuel filter change
Throttle body sync
Steering head bearings adjustment
Spark plug and belt change
General serviceability checkover; lights, blinkers, chain tension, etc.

$693 Labor + $243 parts (for an S2R1000) + tax = $956

So, the Promo Price is $860

you guys have no idea how lucky you are to have nick there to do work.

today went to one "certified ducati dealer" to get the chain tightened tension asjusted, they do that, charge me, then tell me it has "tight spot" in it, basically the chain is shot and tell me i might want to replace it, bc it might break...wtf??  rode home and the thing makes a crunching sound and is binding.. wtf?

if when you are doing the work and i'm standing in the store waiting for it, why not try telling me and asking if i want the chain replaced and not charge me labor for adjusting a faulty chain?  if they just would have asked i would have probably gotten the new chain put on by them and you make more off me overall.

so had to call up another dealer that was farther away and got them to change the chain out, the better thign was they were honest about what had to be done and didnt' try to push anymore than i needed.

stuff like the first dealer, would never happen with Nick or stu (when he was doing normal services), I know that if that situation ever happend nick or stu would never let a potentially dangerous situation like that leave their shop and charge you for it.

damn nick you have to do this discount after i move back to the east coast.  hope all is well with the shop.
