im new to ducati and im glad to be the new owner of an 06 monster 620d
its needs quite a few things and wanting to know what other year/model of ducatis i can use for parts
parts that i need at the moment:
upper triple tree
brake pedal
right foot peg bracket
front bumper
left switch (hi/lo beam/signals/horn)
oh and what size are the bars for this model?
any help would be greatly appreciated.:D
AFAIK:
Upper triple: Any '02 and later Monsters other than S2R, S4R, S4Rs, S4Rt, 696
Brake pedal and right footpeg bracket: Any Monsters other than S2R, S4R, S4Rs, S4Rt, 696
Don't know what you mean by 'front bumper' ???
The bars are 7/8" diameter.
thanks a bunch...
front bumper= front fender
(sorry i was thinking of my car for some reason...sorry)
anybody know where i can get them? (other than the dealership)
Front wheel hugger - anything from 2000 onward and maybe some even older (I'm just not sure past 2000), save for the S4Rs and 696/1100. But the older (like 2000) bikes still had a mechanical speedo, so there's a mounting point for a wire bracket to support the speedo cable.
AFAIK, the triples from the S*R series have the same offset and fork diameter, they just don't have the entire bottom half of the handlebar risers cast into them.
For the brake pedal, I'd call the dealer and ask them what other models that part is compatible with. Chances are, the brake pedal itself can come off of a dozen or so different models.
Then, keep an eye on eBay.
Same for the front fender. They pop up all the time. 916 fenders fit, too.
would any of these fit the monster?

Out of those, the rear set bracket and brake peddal should fit. The Triples, will not - And I don't think the forks will work either. They look like they are 40mm caliper mounts.
That 2nd switch (from the 99 bike) *might* - but I'd look for something for something closer in year. Though the connector doesn't look right
That 1st switch won't
Have a look at

They might have what you need.
just got the triple from another member...so im good for that now [thumbsup]
and now im bidding on the bracket and brake lever...
cant wait to ride it ;D ;D ;D
won the brake lever, but not the bracket :(
would this control work?

what i got already/waiting for:
upper triple tree - check
brake pedal - check
right foot peg bracket still need
front bumper - check
left switch (hi/lo beam/signals/horn)still need
Maybe... I know the Multis have a 4way blinker switch as part of that clusters that monsters don't. That might have an effect on the # of wires coming out - but I'm not 100% sure.
i checked w/ the dealer...it wont fit, might as well order it from there, even though itll take a month to get here to dallas from italia
I'm pretty sure this switch will do the job:

Down in 'turn signals and lighting'
Part # 721-711
well i broke down and got it from the dealership for 120 bucks..and itll be here in 2 weeks or so...
its coming from the motherland...lol
