I could have been a better getaway guy. Then again, it was my first gig, and it seemed like a good idea at the time.
If I knew then what I do now (and, did then;) I would have let my baby warm up before pulling out into traffic. With ambient temp ~50's, oncoming traffic forced me to make my move. I got a bad feeling about it right away, and now I'm trying to decide if it is just that feeling that makes me think my S2R 800 is now running "flat".
By flat, I mean my exhaust sounds flat. The pickup seems flat. Did I break something? Have I outgrown her? I have the will to resolve the issue - I want my baby back - but I'd like to get some initial feedback to feed/starve my current preconceptions...
So, without further ado: what are the potential consequences of running the bike all-out cold for a few seconds?

Funny you mention that OT - my first instinct was to make sure the wires were seated well.
So, just checked. No visible issues on these brand new plugs, but I did reinstall the old ones to see if there is a diff...should know something more tomorrow when I next ride!

UPDATE: I ran the bike through the gears today with the old (known good) plugs, which are sporting a larger-than-stock gap. The throttle response seemed better, though I must say the overall improvement didn't erase my concerns.
Note: The bike has backfired four times in the last few days - since the incident - on both the old and new sets of plugs...bike is stock with the exception of mild exhaust core. No vomiting or respiratory ailments.
