I would go back to your dealer and explain to them whats going on. They will probably replace it. I went to bar ends as well and they work about 5000 times better.

Didn't you end up getting some Rizoma-esques? i did bar end mirros, but the bar ends i got didn't work with them. so i'm stuck until i can get the bike to a dealer and get things worked out. i'm gonna try and hit the local dealer with the mirror issue soon. They have changed the design on the replacement. Mirror looks the same just how it attaches to bike is different, no crush washer and a longer stem. i kept tightening the left one until it no longer worked. dealer replaced it citing "a known issue" then noticed my right mirror needed to be replaced as well. thank you dealer. I just replaced the oem mirrors with bar ends, and it's sooooooo much better.

they revised it, replaced them free for me. if you are having issues on the 1100, basically an always loose flappy mirror no matter how much you tighten.. eh it's got the bad mirrors. Spoke to my local dealer, they need me to come in so they can assess it before I can qualify for a replacement. I ordered the mLabel bar ends. There is definitely a design flaw here.

I posted that about 1.5 years ago. My shop credited me about $90 per mirror, and sold me a set of CRG's for $10. Mine broke like 3 times and I finally snapped. The girl at the shop told me they will replace them if you complain. The stock ones, not the CRG's. The CRG's are great. My left side stock mirror actually fell off while sitting at a stop light! I had to get off and go retrieve it because it bounced into oncoming traffic. That incident was the proverbial straw.... |
