I was there, mostly stayed in the CDC booth. There were some cool bikes. Someone should have donated sandwiches to the models. The Shift Tech bikes were sick. The sound contest was lame, after the events of the day before.

It takes less than five seconds to comment on Harley guys branded head to toe in HD gear to see all those people soaked in Duc. I know the factory people but the civilians come on over the top. I refuse to walk out of the house with a Duc hat and t-shirt they do not sponsor me.............yet ( i wish )

yup, just a mockup.

it's noticeable on the "regular" sized pic, but if you view the original, you can see the faux-carbon fiber all over the place.

So...

the Italian flag is displayed proudly on a flagpole with the breeze holding the flag out straight from the pole.

The pole is on your left...as is the green.

You walk around to the other side so the pole is on your right.

Where is the green?

It's just a question. ;D

You should have made it down to the dyno shootout. There were no 4V Monsters (WTF?) so you would have taken it, plus judging based on reving while in neutral is lame compared to the sound under load.

QuoteDoes your gear match? If so, how dare you.

Hmph, my gear doesn't match so I dare - and I buy a bike for the fun and thrill it is capable of delivering me, never as a fashion statement.
OK I have a few bikes that I lusted after as a kid and no longer perform up to today's bikes...

But none of this will convince me that all motorcycling has whittled down to merely a projection of taste.
Obviously the cruiser/HD segment has and I want no part of that crap either.
You can keep the gay-ass fashion shows, if I want to see strange titties I'll go the strip club.
If Ducati wants to be the Calvin Klein of motorcycles I want no part of it.

So eat  [bacon]

Thank you sooo much for posting up the pictures.
I felt like i really missed out since i had to leave on Thursday :( my ride couldn't stay any longer..

I had my s2r 1k monster parked over there all by herself most of the day on WED. and it was totally dead.

about 4 other bikes parked over there but.. not next to me.. i was all alone. till the guy who rode from VA on his 1098 showed up and started talking to me in the Fashion Tent.. I think he liked my backpack!

But i did run into some of the desmodromi crew from FL in line to get a corn dog..
they weren't all that nice to me :(
guess they didn't see my Ducati wrist band? I tried to compliment their matching club gear.. but oh well.  [bang]

even being in the club i'm kinda not part of the club. lmao

maybe i shoulda "hooked up" with people on here earlier.. then they'd have known i existed. haa haa haa.

anyway.. i LOVE the new pearl white Monster.. GIMME!!

I rode a Guzzi over and no one beat me up, so I figured anything Italian must be OK.
I was a little disappointed with the DDD event in general. There was a lot of the same old stuff: fashion girls are always nice, but the whole city had a pretty nice selection; listening to people rev their bikes get's old fast; and I've seen a Ferrari before. Autographs always seem to be a big draw, but how old do you have to be before you stop getting thrills from someone's autograph (unless it's on a check)?

The italian flag is Green-White-Red.

http://sailor22.smugmug.com/gallery/7531776_w4Jss#486402628_pANSJ-A-LB (http://sailor22.smugmug.com/gallery/7531776_w4Jss#486402628_pANSJ-A-LB)

Well, it depends on which way the wind is blowing. Clearly the green is the pole side, so if the flag in the pic was blowing the other way, i would be correct. So, it appears that the flag is correct, it's just blowing towards the rear of the bike which makes sense because the bike is supposed to be going forward. Think about it. If the rider was holding a flag, or if a flag was actually flying from the bike, if you were on the starboard side of the bike watching it go by, the flag would be red, white, green no?
