I'd have to say no.

Out of the gene pool: dead or sterile.  CHECK
Astounding misapplication of judgment.  CHECK
Cause one's own demise.  UNCERTAIN
Capable of sound judgment.  CHECK
The event must be true.  CHECK

Maybe the heart attack was caused by him lighting the fire.  But maybe not.  So this seems marginal, by the Darwin Award rules (http://www.darwinawards.com/rules/).  Now, if he'd set himself on fire while trying to torch his cars, that'd be a shoo-in.

I have to think that in one way or another, he caused the heart attack. The stress, the exertion of the act of lighting the fire, whatever...

Perhaps an angry customer was trying to torch the cars and he had a heart attack trying to stop them.

Nahhh.

I'd say more likely is that the stress that killed him was the same stress that lead him to set the fire.

Jobu's right.

They're not identical.

I got proof!
