A high-performance scooter? Hmmm. :-\
It looks like Ducati is exploring all options to broaden its product portfolio. They also mention the forthcoming adventure tourer, which I can only assume is the Multistrada replacement.

As long as they bring back the Indiana..
And anyways -- what was it, like 11 new models in the next few years?
Got some work to do..
Not going to happen, one of the Ducati higher ups (sorry can't remember which one) was recently quoted in Australia Motorcycle news as saying it was considered, but decided against.
They decided it just would not fit anywhere in the current range and product direction.
If I find the article, I'll see if I can find a link.
scoots and cruisers? how freakin' sad!
we all know that ducati's history is based solely on uncompromising, uber-high performance machinery! not commuter rubbish

I really, really like it. A good ole red Vespa would be just fine too.

nope!
I know my roots [thumbsup]
I'll have one if they re-consider making it.
i think if they did the nostalgic thing and made an original style puppy then it would be cool have one sitting beside the monster. but a new fangled body work scooter trying to be a sport bike... nope

That is cool, but I'd want mine in yellow.......I saw an old Ducati Brio scooter in a local paper a while back. I figured it would be cool to have.
I have contemplated getting a couple of the Aprilia scooters. With the way local law enforcement has been harrassing people on some of our local roads for the last few years, I've thought storming up and down the road on scooters would be cool. The Aprilai RS-50 with a 75cc big-bore kit would still get us into trouble, though. My wife and I have thoguht it would be cool getting about twenty guys on scooters, dressed in full leathers, and go "racing" in the twisties. If the local residents want to complain about us going faster than them, I wonder how they'd like it if we clogged up the roads with street-legal vehicles going under the speed limit on the uphills....oh wait, we have plenty of Harleys doing that, already. :D
