Can anyone help with a ohlins model number for 2004 Monster DSS 1000s ie rear shock. I went onto the Ohlins web page there are two model numbers, my question is can anyone help that has had experience with ohlins, oh and I like to do track days.
Thanks in advance
Don
The DU 46 adjusts for compression and rebound plus it has a separate reservoir and remote adjustable preload.
The DU 321 has adjustable preload and rebound. The reservoir is internal.
Whichever one you buy, get the right spring for your weight.

Thanks Howie
Is one better than the other or are they much of a muchness
Both the Ohlins DU 046 (46prcs) and DU 321 (S46DR1) will fit.
As Howie said, get the right spring for what you weigh and how you ride.
I've got a DU 046 on the back of my bike.
The hydraulic preload adjuster is convenient if you tour and/or carry a passenger, and I do each of those often enough to not want to crank preload with a spanner.
I imagine the performance is about proportional to the cost.
Thanks for your help.
