Title: Arrow exhaust S4RS S4R-T question Post by: DucDucGoose on March 13, 2009, 02:44:00 PM Alright I'm trying to figure what the performance comparison is between the arrow system and the Termi full system. Any thoughts/data. My main questions are with the arrows does anyone know if it has equal length primary tubes? and what the Diameter of the tubes are. I bought just a set of the headers and collectors and had them shipped to Theo to make some custom megaphone mufflers and am a little curios on some of the details on the arrow system.

Looks darn close to equal length. I like the collectors much better. Some mild clean up on the inside is in order Welds look MUCH better on the arrows Biggest difference you are going to find is power. The termi system comes with the ECU. It's more responsible than the exhaust is for power output. Don't believe me? Search for the guy with the stock udder and a termi shorty pipe who had a nemisis installed and tuned. Was within 5hp on average of a full termi system....through the stock udder. I have read this and it has me convinced to go with either a dp ECU or a reflash. I wonder how close you can get with just an 02 manipulator. May have to schedule some dyno time when I get back to the states [evil] Title: Re: Arrow exhaust S4RS S4R-T question Post by: DucNrun on March 17, 2009, 06:06:46 AM I speak on this from experience: S4RS, full CF Arrows and had a Fat Duc, went to a DP ECU. For closed loop (<5200 RPM), I really can't tell the difference between the Fat Duc and the DP ECU by seat of the pants. The bike was significantly improved from stock and you could actually cruise at 3K RPM without getting a bunch of shaking and rattling.
The DP ECU becomes much more noticeable once you get into the open loop mode (5200 RPM). The bike just screams and when you run WOT, the bike just wants to keep on going. Another advantage of the DP ECU is being able to run an open air box. With the Fat Duc, the open air box was just too much. I was able to run the performance air filter with a stock lid, though. |
