Title: HID riders lighting info Post by: M1000sie on March 16, 2009, 04:17:04 PM Ive done the research on this site and learned alot. I want maximum lighting but at the same time dont want to blind people/attract attention from police. I actually bought a kit from ddmtuning that incorporated a low/high beam in 1 bulb but was too long and didnt want to cut holes and make different brackets only to have bad glare in the stock bucket.... And for people that say just run a single beam, I dont see how that would aim far enough while not blinding people... So im thinking about taking a gamble and just adding something like this on to the bike. Aside from the ''cheap'' name brand, what if any problems will arise with using these? Whats your take on getting hids on the monster? I was thinking of goin monsterparts duals with hids but than again your dealing with glare, although could u just aim low and high beam differently? TIA

also you cant aim the glare, its litterally eveywhere. if you look up in the tutorials, i put up a FAQ about my experience with duals and HIDs. ive since trashed them and went back to regular halogen. So the output of the hid is good while not putting excess stress on the charging system, but than I have to deal with warm up time if I need the light right than and there....
I like this kit because it would be on a totally different circuit and they seem to have a good amount of adjustment.... They have a 90 day warranty so im still thinkinf of taking a chance. If anyone else has more thoughts on the issue please post up.TIA Title: Re: HID riders lighting info Post by: Mash on March 17, 2009, 02:52:58 PM The lights you linked to are listed as fog lights, and, in my experience, fog lights are not a pencil beam that would work good for a high beam.
