Well It wasn't the monster thank god but I'm still pissed.......
I got an R6 off a buddy for dirt cheap with bent valves figured it would make a good track bike. Tore it down got a new head and rebuilt it to spec with the service manual. everything's good to go checked and double checked. I go to start it it fires up and then bang WTF I pull the valve cover off and the damn timing chain slipped on the intake cam and bent a valve on the new head [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang]
Back to square one looks like the timing chain tensioner isn't working the way it should. The price I pay in time and headaches on a good deal just may not be worth it. But I'll take any day in the garage over a day at work ;)
Just Figured I would vent hear I'm not a fan of the R6 forums.
Well, that sucks. At least it was the pos and not the good bike. ;D ;)
well now you know what caused the previous bent head. ;D
