Title: Hit and run Post by: OstOgBajer on March 17, 2009, 01:27:12 PM Lady ran into me and took off today, totaling my bike. Didn't get her plates. It's a (very) long shot, but worth a try:
If you see a dark green (2002 or so) Honda Accord driven by a short skinny hispanic woman with shoulder length dark brown straight hair and a young child, I would be very grateful if you could get the plates. I need to "talk" to her about the accident. Was probably driving her kid home from school and may live on the NE side of San Antonio. Title: Re: Hit and run Post by: wcw on March 17, 2009, 02:11:32 PM Holy crap dude! Obviously you're ok typing on here...thankful for that. Man, I wish you'd gotten her LP I could've helped out. You'll need to type up (if you're up for it) a longer post on what happened. Sorry that happened to you, but glad you're alright. I hate riding in the city (cagers) and is why I try and predominantly ride in the HC.
Title: Re: Hit and run Post by: Greg on March 17, 2009, 02:46:22 PM Sorry to hear that - will keep an eye out for the Accord. Where did the accident happen?
You might consider staking out the place of the accident for the next couple of days. People are creastures fo habit and she probably takes that same route every day. Title: Re: Hit and run Post by: Pedro-bot on March 17, 2009, 03:24:19 PM Dude I flipped off every green accord I saw on my way home. Just for you. [thumbsup]
Glad to hear it wasn't worse. How bad is the bike? Hopefully you have full coverage with uninsured/underinsured coverage. Title: Re: Hit and run Post by: gh0stie on March 17, 2009, 04:14:26 PM this really pisses me off.......I hope you find her
glad you're ok Title: Re: Hit and run Post by: OstOgBajer on March 17, 2009, 04:24:00 PM Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm fine. Feeling a little sore and have a headache, but I'm fine (thank god). Bike looks like it's going to be totaled. Thankfully I have full coverage. Kemal over at KCI is taking care of the situation and it looks like I might be coming out of this with a Duc GT 1000.
It happened on 1604 and 281, on the axis road bridge going east on 1604. Traffic was slowing down to turn left and the lady behind me wasn't paying attention and slammed into me. Completely her fault. There was a lady in front of me that was kind enough to attempt to chase her down, but couldn't catch her. I am going to keep an eye out in the area... and I have a feeling she lives near me or a little further north. It looked like she was picking up her kid from school and heading home. I was going to keep an eye out at that intersection at around the same time random days, but I normally am in school at that time (left early finishing a test). I posted a more detailed report here: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=20725.0 (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=20725.0) Title: Re: Hit and run Post by: wcw on March 17, 2009, 04:53:21 PM read your report over there...I'm still amazed you came out of that unscathed. Spidey reflexes? Why the switch to the GT1000? I'm glad you made a report. If you happen to see the vehicle, email me asap
Title: Re: Hit and run Post by: OstOgBajer on March 17, 2009, 05:14:07 PM Ever since I got my Monster, every trip to KCI has resulted in me drooling over the GT. I sit on it every time and dream of getting one in a year or two (as an addition to the Monster of course). It's just a sexy bike.
So I figure, I'll go for that and then I'll get the Monster 1100 in a year or two. Gotta get a Monster again. Or maybe an S4R... |
