Story: Bought used calipers. Installed them at a friend's house. Rode home.
Incident: Heard clanking noise on the freeway on two separate occasions--assumed it was a rock hitting the manifold.
Reality: See picture below...

Mother effer!!! Note to self: check ALL bolts when buying used parts. [bang]
Anyone know where I can buy these bolts? Torque spec? Loc-tite or anti-seize?
TIA.
How do the threads on the caliper look?
I probably have them in a box somewhere. Pull one out of the other caliper, measure, and replace. Same with the other one (just to verify they are the same length/size). Let me know what you find and I'll mail you a pair [thumbsup]

Are yours allen or torx?
"I think" the older calipers have the allens, and the newer have the torx.

Allen's more than likely, although I do have some torx stuff. One of the projects I have to do is somehow arrange and sort all the misc hardware I've got.
Might have them in Ti as well, allen in that app. [thumbsup]
Sweet. Thanks, Theo! I will measure when I get home.
