Title: official 2010 DMF calender project. Post by: Grampa on March 18, 2009, 08:42:10 AM (http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t180/bobspapa/ew.jpg?t=1237393752)
in an attempt to keep myself busy and sharpen the photoshop skills (IZ approved) I'm going to put together a calender for next year, and would like to use members bike pics. The plan is to alter the pics in such a way that they all have somewhat of a "fresco" look to them. All I need from you all are pics, your real name and bike info. I can put as many as three large bike pics on a page, and place random smaller pics in the dates. The 8.5 x 11 calenders are $18.99 each and I can order as many as you folks like (given ya pay me for them :D ) with a lil added in for shipping. This is nothing I'm looking to make money off of, I just thought it would be cool and wanted to share. Title: Re: official 2010 DMF calender project. My bike now has some additional mods and the same shot would show the speedymoto open clutch. I am planing on taking some photos this weekend with my new Leica camera. i will post more current ones Sunday. I live in Washington, DC and i have a great spot in front of the river where you see the Washington monument and the top of the capitol in the background, good for the patriotic types [bow_down]

Post by: ScottRNelson on March 20, 2009, 09:58:10 AM If you want a calender that is interesting to look at and that will allow you to enjoy each month for a full 31 days rather than being sick of it after five, I would suggest that you concentrate on having large photos of the motorcycles. The example at the beginning with several small photos that have a lot of space around them is not interesting. And the photos with a lot of scenery and a little Monster in the middle taking up only 1/4 of the image width is fine for a scenery calendar but not so good for a motorcycle calendar.
I consider this photo a good example of the right size of the bike in the image. It should be used so that it takes up the whole image side of the calendar. The color is also quite good on this one, although I think the background could use a little help for positioning. Mine: (http://paularickert.net/albums/userpics/Paula_monster_1179_med.jpg) So now I'm curious if all photos have to have Monsters in them or if you would consider also a photo of the bike that Ducati used as the basis for the first Monster. ;D Do photos have to be recent? Is it okay to submit Monster photos that have appeared years ago in other Monster calendars (my own photos of course, not someone else's)? Title: Re: official 2010 DMF calender project.
