The brake and turn signal wiring under my seat was a mess:

Plus with the new tail light, I didn't like the bracket situation back there. :-\
I bought one 3-pole- and two 2-pole weather-proof connectors (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=20703.0) from McMaster Carr, and got to work.
I cut and drilled an aluminum plate to hold the resistors for the LED turn signals and wiring, ran the wiring and cut lengths as I went along to ensure proper lengths. I also fabbed and painted a new one-piece turn signal/tail light bracket.
Here's how it turned out:

Much neater under there!!!
i think you were the one who posted the thread about modding going to far....
this is modding going to far. nice job though! [thumbsup]
Not because I say so, but because you want to ;D (I know you do) here's what you do:
wash the plastic, reroute the rear light wires under the red seat latch bracket, straighten the right connector and paint the new resistor bracket.
I just love tidy [thumbsup]

Nice one Dave, you are starting to take my crown away from me [bow_down]
I'm glad you posted pics as Spidey might have thought you where having us on ;) ;)

To add to your list of mods: you need to wrap those exposed wires in plastic tubing or electrical tape. ;D

Wash? Huh? [cheeky]
I'm worried the seat latch pin will hit the wires if I put them under the latch.
Maybe I'll paint the resistor tray, but for now I'm liking the "I made this look." ;D

I'd like to get some of that plastic spiral wrap stuff. Electrical supply place is closed on Saturday.

Ok, not under the latch itself - under the red bracket which holds the latch?

Sign it with kids "fat" coloring (crayons?), then paint and afterwards scrape off the paint over the signature. Voila - home made, but beautiful.... [roll]

Kellermann Micro-1000s (all around). I've had them on since April of '05, and they're showing signs of wear.

That's a frame cross-member. If I run the wires under there, they'll be exposed. :-\
[laugh] That said, they're already exposed -- from the tail liight to the frame. [roll]

I hope they carry it. I've seen it here (http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/product.asp?catalog_name=USPlastic&category_name=80&product_id=12508).
You should've made that resistor bracket out of a sheet of CF. ;D
That said, it looks "make the beast with two backsing great!" [thumbsup]

If you have time in the next week or so, come on over with that belly pan, and maybe you can lend me a hand with my shock. ;D
looks nice and clean [clap]
I hate working or dealing with wires that are not organized and tidy...

I too like the under seat area clean, and those resistors are the main reason I have not went to LED signals yet. Good job thought!

Dinner was good. Watched the game and got a headstart on a night of drinking. [thumbsup]
I'll have to check my work schedule for this week. As soon as I see what it is I'll give you a call and we can figure out when's a good time for me to bring the bellypan over.

It's just a CF monza bellypan off my old Monster.
Pompetta and I were talking the other day about how it would look on his bike with the XBox behind it. [thumbsup]
I've been trying to make an old CF monza belly pan off a monster fit my retard [bang]
The one on the forum a few months ago looked good but i've just not got it to fit right so have given it up as a bad job :'(
Febur had a quite nice looking belly pan on a retard at the milan show but so far i've not been able to contact them :'(

Thanks. :)
I'd like to put the fuse box under there, but I don't currently have the balls to attempt it. :P
....its a sickness.... great job though [thumbsup]
I wish I had so much real-estate under my seat....
Looks great, pompetta. [thumbsup]
Looks good. i desperately need to clean up my wiring all around.
Figured this would be a good spot to post bring this mod back to life. gotta remember how to get picks on this thing
Man that looks great. Well done! My OCD side got a boner.
Just finished up my clean up..

I cut off the coil bracket and plastic fender brackets im in the process off grinding and painting it was less stressful than using the cut off wheel on the tail chop the day after i bought it. 05 620 is the model if you were wonderin.
