So the Monster 800 with low pipes was only made for a couple of years, which makes for a small market. I notice that many exhaust manufacturers make cans or kits for almost every other Monster except the 800 with dual sided swingarm and low pipes. That includes both low mount cans and high mount kits. Is the bike really different in some way from the 600, 620, 695, & 900? If so, what is the difference? Just wondering.
Thanks,
Scott
As far as I know, all DSS monsters can share low mount cans. High mounts, you'd just want to make sure you've selected another monster that uses the same frame as yours to ensure any brackets/hangers line up well. But even then, I think they should all work out.
If the cans fit a 620 they will fit an 800.
Thanks for the info guys. If it's the case for hi-mounts that I'd need to have a bike with the same frame, was teh 800 DSS a frame only used for that bike?
Scott
Nah - don't worry about the *exact* frame. You'd just want an ST based frame - which is any 2001+ monsters before the advent of the 696. Basically jsut one a monster with the rear hoop. Even then, it would probably fit. I've got a hoopy style 900 and I'd have no reservation about snapping up a highmount set for a 620 if I found a steal... I just don't want to give you any incorrect info - so I'm being a little conservative
Rear hoop?

Rear hoop?
Rear hoop is a reference to the early rear suspension on the Monsters that were based on the 888 superbike frame (1993-2001 exc. the '01 S4).
The '01 S4 and all Monsters 2002 to 2008 are based off of the ST frame (yours included).
And any pipes to fit a 620 *will* fit your 800 BTW...
Ok, thought that's what it was. Thanks :)
