stupid question and probably a derby but where is a good place to buy tires on line reasonably. i tried the search option on the dmf but nothing came up maybe due to my impatience but any help would be great thanks
I have bought tires form a couple of online places :
http://www.newenoughhp.com/parts/tires/ (http://www.newenoughhp.com/parts/tires/)
http://www.bikebandit.com/tires-tubes/g/a622685 (http://www.bikebandit.com/tires-tubes/g/a622685)

Yeah, prolly a derby, but always good to update.

I've bought from the Motorcyclesuperstore a couple times, but check you local shops. I found that my local Yamaha/KTM/Vicotry/Kaw etc. shop sells to me as cheaply as online and mounts on the bare wheel for $20. I buy several tires per year too.
I'd rather support a local shop if I can.

If you can hold on for two more months, cycle gear will have their spring tire sale, $189 for a SET of pirelli diablos

Support you local shop. I have discovered there is hardly any saving when buying tires online, unless it's one of those "Buy the rear and get the front for free deals"

But what if they don't carry your color?

This is just not true. At least where I am located. I priced tires at my local dealers and their prices were almost $150 more a set then what I was able to find online. I'm all for supporting local shops, but $150 is a little much.
/end threadjack.
I bought tires from motorcycle superstore about two months ago. $240 for a set of pilot roads. Free shipping.

Good to know, that's about the time I'll be re-shodding either the SS or the M750 or possibly both at those prices!

I don't think i'd run tomahawks... not sure i'd trust retreads on a bike
I just put a new rear on in Oct so I'm good for a couple months, but I checked out these links anyway. Wow. Tires have really gotten expensive over the last 5 months.. I paid 153 shipped for the PP2CT rear. Now it's $190 :'( 6 months before that I get a set of 2ct's for 259.
Might have to start donating plasma to save up for tires this summer :(
FWIW, the set I got was from ridenow.com, and the rear tire from motorcyclesuperstore.com both of which have some of the better prices.
Local dealer? Closer to 250 for a rear, and then you can tack on 35 for mounting. Forget it.
I'm looking for new tires as well, I'm unpleasantly surprised by the cost of the new Pilot Road 2CT's.
no kiddin they don't even buy ya a drink or lube up first when ya buy those...

$325 is about the cost I'm seeing for a set. Yikes.
Cost is the only reason I'm not considering Pilot Powers or Roads for my next set. I'll likely go with Bridgestone's sport-touring tire ~

I just got a set of 2ct's for a great price (much lower than others quoted here) shipped. I'm not sure if that was a deal, and they've treated me right, but call them and they'll hook you up. They're a Michelin dealer and are working with other brands as well. Top f*n flight shop, and I've tried them all.
And no, I don't work there...
I forgot all about them, they are affiliated with SportBikeTrackTime (SBTT), yes?
That's them, yes.
That's where i'll be buying my stuff, I think very highly of that company from previous dealings.
i just checked out denniskirk.com and they had pretty good deals about 40 bucks less then anywhere else i have looked or called
