Title: Mounting hard-panniers to a Monster? Post by: Grug on March 28, 2009, 09:52:12 PM Hey guys,
I picked up a pair of Non Fango TTL panniers for my '99 Monster 600 off ebay. However although the booklet that came with them suggests that they can be fitted to pre-'00 monsters, I can't for the life of me figure out an obvious way to mount them to the bike. Is anyone familiar with mounting this sort of hard luggage to a Monster? How is it done? Any help would be much appreciated. Title: Re: Mounting hard-panniers to a Monster? Post by: DucHead on April 02, 2009, 03:07:49 AM Mounting brackets (to which the cases latch) must be bolted to the frame. Usually, such brackets are bike-specific, so unless that's a Monster-specific set, you'll have to fabricate brackets.

cos i;m abot 90% sure that at least one of the mounting brackets attacked to the frame via the 4 or 3 tea tray bolts. Thta will be why there are up to 99 and after 99 ones. 4 bolts on the earlie ones and 3 on the later ones. |
