It was posted today that G3 is a "GO"
According to Harold Ramis in an MTV interview, "We're all going to be in it in different kinds of roles. We're going to be the sage mentors. There are going to be young Ghostbusters", he ultimatly confirmed that all four key actors are back for the upcoming third "Ghostbusters" film.
Lets hope that the recently resurrected Ecto-1 makes it back as well!!!!

Hmm mixed feelings. But knowing that Ramis will be part of the process gives me hope that it'll be done right. I'll just be bummed if them ruin it - the original was great.

I think that it may already be out or is due out soon.

Actually the game looks pretty awesome! IMO.

I really dislike the idea of a new ghostbusters movie, but I don't have enough invested into the issue to ACTUALLY care. It just seems like stupid, escapist drivel (which means it's probably what they're going for and it'll be a hit).

Come on now, it's cheap (or free for some) entertainment. Don't compare. Very few things will ever live up to what your memory conceives is the greatest thing since sliced bread (by the way, I like my bread torn from the roll, not sliced). Just take it for what it is, a couple hours stepped away from reality.
I for one, look forward to it. It's a movie, I like movies. It's supposed to have action, I like action. It's supposed to be funny, I like funny (I look in the mirror often). So what if it doesn't live up to everything you remember about the 1st one.
I should have qualified that the first ghostbusters wasn't some deep art film. It's summertime escapism, and it does what it does well enough. The third one will likely be more of the same.
Now the real question is will they get Ray Parker Jr or Bobby Brown back for the soundtrack?
