Title: Photo Radar Post by: Monster Dave on March 31, 2009, 06:52:54 AM So just out of curiosity, what are consiquences if someone gets flashed by a photo radar camera in AZ (in a car rather than a motorcycle). Since this has been in the news so much, I found myself curious.
Do you pay? Why or why not? What are the pros and cons??? I recently heard that Scottsdale had all of the ones on the 101 removed. Title: Re: Photo Radar Post by: Dietrich on March 31, 2009, 07:47:17 AM What, did you find yourself on candid camera? ;D
All I know is I never got the notice, if you catch my drift. Unless served in person, which has yet to happen. However, I don't seem to get snapped. I'm pretty conservative around town. At least around the cameras that is. Title: Re: Photo Radar Post by: pennyrobber on March 31, 2009, 08:47:48 AM Have to be served all right. They also have 60 to serve you before the ticket is thrown out. If you get your photo taken on the highway, just get a disguise and go by another name for 2 months and you are in the clear.
Title: Re: Photo Radar Post by: Monster Dave on March 31, 2009, 10:10:05 AM I was just curious wondering if people get points on thier licenses or worse for impartial tickets like that.
Good to note Charles, I think I may still have an Incredable Hulk mask laying around if you need to borrow it!!!! (http://hollywoodcostumesandparty.com/hulk/2107-06.jpg) Wouldn't that look awesome on a ticket!!!! [laugh] Title: Re: Photo Radar Post by: Randimus Maximus on March 31, 2009, 04:29:21 PM also, on a bike, you should be able to swerve around the sensors in the pavement which measure your speed to activate the camera.
Title: Re: Photo Radar Post by: AZMonsterMan on April 01, 2009, 06:49:36 AM I have heard that if you get a photo ticket on the highway from DPS you only have to pay but if you get one in a city or town it is the same as getting pulled over and ticketed by an officer. I had to go to traffic school for the photo radar ticket I got in Star Valley on my way to Heber (not on my bike but in the family Suburban).

Stimulus Strike Team......wtf is that.....bunch of BS if you ask me.... *edit, I should say that for red light intersections I support the idea because it will stop accidents. But more than a few times I've been on my bike and come up to one in particular and if I don't watch the countdown on the cross walk sign, I could easily get flashed inadvertanly because the light changes so quickly. For that reason, one must be prepaired for the occasional stoppie!!!! LOL Title: Re: Photo Radar Post by: SheMonster on April 01, 2009, 12:30:16 PM April Fools!! LOL or, it will CAUSE accidents by over-reacting people who slam on their brakes when they see a yellow light to avoid another red-light ticket (that they don't really have to pay anyway). Title: Re: Photo Radar Post by: hcomp on April 03, 2009, 02:09:01 AM Okay here is the skinny, until you are served by a court appointed officer your ticket means squat. There are several threating words that they will say, but it legally means nothing. Go join camerafraud.com, I did.... There have been recent findings that cities have been tampering with yellow light times in order to increase tickets at the intersections with cameras...Now thats messed up....
