My setup: S4RS, full Arrow CF exhaust, DP ECU, open air box, DP air filter
My problem: pops on decel and coasting downhill(running rich?)
My attempt to fix: had the techs at the dealer plug their machine doohickey up to the bike to measure the CO2 and trim levels and everything supposedly within spec.
My question: I'm no expert, but I think this isn't necessarily good (?) Can further tweaking of the DP ECU yield a leaner mix, or do I need to consider a PCIII at this point for further fine-tuning of my map?
The techs say the blame is to be placed on Arrow pipes--the DP ECU was set up specifically for the Termi pipes. I call B.S. Both pipes are 50mm systems. The techs also said I can expect a bit of popping under these conditions--it's normal.
Experts, please throw in your two cents!
Running lean, most likely because of the open airbox. I would suggest a PC.
Occam's Razor
- Most times popping on decel can be simply tracked to a leak in the exhaust system... surprised your techs didn't think about that. So right now, IMO you're trying to hard. Go simple - Go over all your exhaust joints loosen them wiggle and make sure the are fully seated then snug down everything again.
I've got an s4rs, DP ecu, full Arrow exhaust and pods. I can adjust the DP ecu trim too lean (with the technoresearch tool) and it will pop on decel. My guess is the techs have yours adjusted too lean. Make sure the TPS has been set with the new ECU. As above make sure all the plugs are still in the Arrow headers.

+1 tighten those clamps! Seems the DP ECU is sensitive to any leakage however small.
There's no clamps with the Arrows, everything's held together with a spring. On a side note, I ran a Fat Duc with these pipes when I first got them and the bike didn't pop then--only after switching to the DP ECU did this start to happen.
You say they had the meter on it for CO. What was the %? Assuming the TPS & CO settings are REALLY correct, I would take it to someone that can sniff the exhaust at the pipe and or bungs and see what CO & HC you've got. That will tell you for sure what is going on.
FWIW, the guy who dyno tuned mine (I added a PCIII on top of the DP ECU) was working on an RS with Arrows for a week trying to get it to run right. It seems the Arrows are rather "difficult" as exhausts go. When I picked mine up I asked how it was going on the other one and he said, "it's as good as it's gonna get".
Where'd you get your bike dyno tuned, Hypurone? I'm fairly local to you.

It was at the now defunct MotoMeccanica. They were the Ducati dealer in the North Bay that I wrote about closing back in December.
Now I wouldn't know where to send ya. But you could go online to PowerCommander and get a list of their certified dyno locations:
You can get a list of them here:
