Title: Tire Slime in Moto Tires
Post by: Vindingo on April 01, 2009, 09:26:00 AM
I'm planning a trip down to Mexico and was curious if it would be prudent to slime my tires.  Does adding the slim have any negative affects on the tire or balance or handeling?  Would it be better to just bring a plug kit?

muchos gracias

That stuff can work as a temporary fix, but it basically turns into hard marbles that rattle around inside the tire.

Plug kit. dont forget to bring a knife.

it wont be nasty to clean up afterwords and people have ridden thousands of miles on plugs.

you'd better warn them before the next mechanic changes your tires... and bring another couple of twenties as a tip to clean up the mess. And if you don't warn them, you might be told to clean up all that shit off their tire machine...

... not that i've ever been slimed before...
