ok here's the situation I just purchased a 2002 m750ie S , now when I start it has tap tap noise sounds like a dry clutch to me but when I checked the specs online it showed that it the S version came out with a clutch that is Wet multiplate with hydraulic control !
so does the wet clutch makes that noise too ? I'm a bit confused now .... ???
It's a wet clutch. Ducatis make a lot of mechanical noise. What exactly is the sound you are hearing, how loud is it, and where is it coming from?
Oh, and here's the Wet v. Dry FAQ (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=20634.0)
it may need a valve adjustment
it not very bad , but I hear it coming from the engine , so I wasn't sure ! a friend of mind suggested it might be the valve but I have no idea how to adjust that ! :-\

Use your checkbook.
yes, the check book is the easiest method of valve clearance adjustments. All M750s were wet clutch I'm pretty sure, and a dry clutch sounds more like a tambourine in the hands of a hyperactive twelve year old than it does tapping.
You could just be hearing the valves. Valve actuation can be heard fairly easily if there isn't a dry clutch, and the exhaust isn't too loud.
There's a distinctive clickity-clickity noise from the valves operating. You may hear that ~

If the valves are out of adjustment so much that you're hearing one distinctly, I'd expect the bike would be runnig poorly. But if it's been more than 6000 miles since the last valve job, you should get it done.
