There can be issues with clearance to the handlebars if yours are stock. The ST forks make the best swap as they're 50mm top triple and 54mm lower triple just like a Monster and they're a couple mm longer but that's it.
Downside? An ST is a heavy bike so it's got killer fork springs in there. If you're a heavier person and you back the pre-load off you may be able to get them to perform well. But, if you're a lighter person...you may be looking at new springs. If you can get them for cheap enough, go for it. Then take them to a shop before you install them and get them sprung for your weight with new seals and wipers (or scrapers) with fresh oil. That way when you install them, they'll be perfect for your weight and freshly rebuilt as well. They're *slightly* longer (like 3mm which is nothing to be concerned about) and after that and the springs being stiff...they're a DIRECT swap onto your 695.
