It is April
and
It is snowing
that is all
This could be about perspective...
or elevation. ;D
What kinda elevation are we talking here?
About 4K feet...I think.
I've looked at it from all angles
and
it still appears to be frozen water to me
That's plenty of altitude.
What kind of snow?
Eskimos have lots of words for snow. :)
We've been down at 1500-2000 ft the past couple of days. There's a lot of rain and now snow today.
Up at 4000 where we sometimes stay has several feet today. Its been snowing up there for the past four days.
Fun times.

Then it must be elevation.

IZ, you have to remember that the cascades are a coastal range. our timberline is at roughly 5500 feet and Portland is at about 50 to 100. I do actually live on the side of Mt Hood. It is different than Flagstaff, that is a mountain atop a high desert, 2 different beasts.
Wade,
There is no whining, I was pointing out fact. It is April...fact. It is snowing...fact. How is the swimming?

I know... I guess I called it whining, because that's what I've been doing in regards to our snow.
Swimming isn't so great. Coast Guard shut down the Red River all the way to the Canadian border. Misdemeanor charges for being on the dike, felony charges for being in the water... boat or not.
26 inches of snow (heavy wet shit) where the Red begins.... might be able to swim on some sidewalks very soon. I hope not though.
snow on top of that flood Is a slap in the face. mother nature has been a pregnant dog these last 20 months or so.
Yep, waiting to see what this weekend's forecasted blizzard holds. :P
