Title: [edit] What size bolt do I need for S4RS exhaust hanger Termis (picture fixed)
Post by: dbran1949 on April 04, 2009, 06:46:18 PM
What  bolt goes here. I have an old photo so I know it was a round head hex. but don't know thread size and length
Thanks

What is a little wierd is that the parts catalog shows a loose backing nut. On my bike it appears to be captive unless it is being held on by loc-tite

TA thanks I figured I need something to keep it from coming undone. I have been following your Ti bolt thread and wondered if you knew what the bolt, is (part # 28 in the diagram)

I think it was a 6mm hex head but not sure on the length.
Does the hanger bracket mount hard to the frame?
Is the backing nut captive (welded to the frame)?

As an interesting side note. After the bolt fell off I noticed my backfiring on decel stopped. Closer inspection shows the head pipe to exhaust pipe connection, lines up better with the termis hanging lower
