Looked around on Harbor Frieght, saw some items. What are the basic socket sizes, and Torx bits needed? Looking to get all the basic to start on my project rebuild.

i wouldnt use harbor freight tools on my bike.
save up for some craftsman or kobalt (from lowes)
those will last you much longer and work better
basic socket set and hex sockets are a good start
(there's no torx heads on the bike, theyre all hex)

You dont touch any tool to your bike but a hammer :P
Sears always has some sale on good sets of hand tools. Complete socket sets 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" socket sets ratchets, sockets, wrenches, and usually some screwdrivers all in the same set for ~$200 all you will ever need for basic hand tools. Then add a set of craftsman allen sockets (much better than the allen keys that come with the sets) and you will not need anything else really to work on your bike.
harbor freight hand tools will likely result in broken sockets and stripped allen-head bolts. I hate those things. Some of the stuff there is ok in a pinch but the hand tools no way.

note to OP- lesson here is know your limitations.
its good to learn, but if you get in over your head with nobody to help you taking it the shop to fix your screwup is $$
