Title: Watch out Vespa--there's a MADASS out there! Post by: BikerGoddess on April 09, 2009, 08:20:39 PM Our visiting Aussie buddy, Zee told me about the Madass scooter tonight. I thought I saw something like it at Scuderia last weekend but might be wrong. Anyhoo, this 50cc wonder wheelies and does burnouts like crazy. I think DQ may have a new toy here. Check it out! [thumbsup]

The black one does look cool! [thumbsup] But I'll stick with my Vespa GTS. I really don't need another bike. Title: Re: Watch out Vespa--there's a MADASS out there! Post by: mostrobelle on April 10, 2009, 08:32:09 AM A guy who works in the office across from me has one. It looks weird. He stopped riding it about 6 mos. ago and is now on a motorized razor of some sort. He has ALL the toys.

Post by: Spidey on April 13, 2009, 10:52:06 AM It's a standard Chinese-made dirt bike engine (I think the one used in most Hondas). There's a 125, 138 and 170 something upgrade kit for it. The kit can also gives you a manual transmission. Woot!
I don't think they're CA legal b/c of emissions. When I was looking at them last year, there was one place down in the Inland Empire who carried them, but they still weren't street legal for CA. Mebbe that's changed since then. |
