Title: Older M750 slave piston assy part no?
Post by: ducatiz on April 10, 2009, 11:06:55 AM
I need the part numbers for the clutch slave piston assembly on an older M750, the type with the RIGHT HAND clutch slave (i.e. pre97 or 98)..

can anyone give me a pointer?  I need to match the piston to a new cover I got

The older 600 engines (600ss) have the same covers, but I am not 100% sure the pistons are the same.  I have a 600ss and a new cover and I want to put in a new piston rather than reuse the ratty old one.  Local Ducati dealer is clueless about older bikes (i.e. >5 years).

The Clutch cover I have is part 243.3.017 (or 243.3.017.1A depending on how you read the stamping).

there were many supersessions in the 80/90's early 2 valve bikes with the slave in the cover.  Many of the models like the F1 required you to buy a complete cover !  If you can give us a diameter of the piston you need to replace we may be able to get something sorted.

Looks like we may have one on hand,  this is a part we bought from Domi racer a long time ago.  The part numbers you list are no longer good ones BTW.  The piston we have measures 30.8 X 20mm approx.  Check and see if that is right for what you need.  What we have has a Domi Racer part number of 067516450-DR and is priced at only $25.00.  Let us know if you want it.  hope this helps !
