I will be moving back to New England from VA in late August and was looking to catch one more track day. I will have 4 days on track by then but still expect that I will be a "beginner".
1. The Fishtail School and track day on Sep 8/9 caught my eye. Does anyone have experience with this school? Anyone planning on being there?
2. Any opinions on the track at NHMS? Looks a lot tighter than VIR, but I don't expect that to be an issue. Might help me out without a long straight.
3. Any other reccomendations?
Thanks,
-Dave

Fishtail is awesome! Great crowd, Bruce, Susie & co are awesome, and great instruction. The food isn't bad either @ lunch ;D
Also, check out www.bostonmoto.com (//http://) (//http://) they offer a great day with tons of track time and a great price. also have tire / track day combos if you want a set of DC3's to roast through [evil]

Fishtail is a great organization with great classroom and personal instruction.
The track is very different than VIR. It's tight with a lot of elevation change once out of the infield/oval.
I volunteer for them as a cornerworker and will be there.
OK, just signed up, see you there.

fishtail is much more hands on than most track day organizers in that they provide instruction both on and off the track rather than just turning you loose. they let me help out sometimes as a rolling video cone. i'm going to try to make the sept (and possibly july) dates, but it'll depend on how my vacation and njmp schedules work out.
nhms is a fun, fun track. technical with good elevation changes. hp doesn't matter as much as it does at vir.

But NJMP doesn't have the wall of death....
how could you possibly give that up? ;D
Wall of death? :o Where? This could be interesting. . . [popcorn]

There is a rather interesting use of jersey barriers and old tires in T3.
It's a slow corner and all you need to do is look where you want to go.
It's actually a great exercise to combat target fixation.

Nah...
Too busy over the winter.
The Monster is still showing signs of crash damage...
and the 996 still looks hideous. ;D

Look where you want to go
Look where you want to go
Look where you want to go
but if you feel the need to go off-roadin' then the hill on the outside of 3 is a pretty forgiving place to do it, except that the photographer sits there so your escapades will be well documented [roll]
I'm signed up for the 27th, see you then!

There's an NEDOC track day on July 14: http://nedoc.org/forums/index.php?topic=1413.0 (http://nedoc.org/forums/index.php?topic=1413.0)
Last year's event was a good time.
