Title: carbon fiber front mud guard on 696 Post by: sl_guy on April 16, 2009, 06:06:08 AM Hi everyone, I'm thinking of getting carbon fiber front mud guard for my red '09 696, I need your opinions, does it look good? or I should just stick with the red oem? I know the 1100S comes with carbon fiber but again that bike has the olins front shocks which is yellow, versus the 696 is white

Carbon fibre usually looks great, but on the 696 it might look lonely and out of place - depends on which other mods you're planning. If you're into painting - what about painting it flat black? I did a partial paint job on mine..... But I also had a CF gauge cover, so they complimented one another. But alone, it still looks cool. On my red 1100S, I have a CF fender and the OEM flat black gauge cover. If only I took the CF cover off the 696 before I sold it! [bang]

Title: Re: carbon fiber front mud guard on 696 Post by: redial on April 17, 2009, 04:59:04 AM just my personal opinion but i dont really dif CF mudguards too much. im sure they look great in person, but if it were me i would go with one of these options
-partial just like stopintime (lookin good as always) -gloss black -flat black depending on your paint scheme and where you wanna go with the styling of the bike. thats just what id do, but what a boring world if we would all mod the same!
