Title: lowering link
Post by: davina on April 18, 2009, 03:04:01 AM
Hi all. I have looked at the search option but nothing is answering my question.

I wish to lower my M695 (2008). Can anyone tell me if the 748, 916, 996, 998 adjustable suspension linkage will fit and is it suitable for the 695 ie, will it lower or raise the back end?

Thanks in advance

I suspect that the SBK pushrod will be too short, but I haven't tried one.

I am not sure if the 695 uses the same link as the s*r bikes but if it does then the sbk link would work well to lower it.  I have an s4r 04' and the sbk link is about a 1/2" shorter than the stock link which would actually lower the bike a good bit.

These guys sell a lowering link for your M695.  They made me a custom adjustable "raising" link - works great.

Here's a great option from one of our sponsors: http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/EC-1004/Comfort-Touring/EC-1004.html (http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/EC-1004/Comfort-Touring/EC-1004.html)

You can also look into shaving your seat. I'm maybe an 1-1.5" inches taller than you and have a short inseam and having a shorter seat has really helped. I don't feel the need to flatfoot my bike but I can get the balls of my feet down.
