Got out for a good ride on Syreena this week! Did horrible things to the tires and learned a lot about body positioning and such too. There's a BIG difference between the Monster chassis & the Supersport chassis :D
Just scenery:

Very nice! Gotta love the mountains in springtime [thumbsup]
luve them...
very nice!! beautiful waterfalls
nice, where were these pics taken?
I am gonna have to find you this summer lol. I do not know my way around the mountains at all and with about a 100-125 mile gas range I cannot risk going to explore. I live in NW SC by the way. Spartanburg area. Those are some beautiful pics.
Schweet pics
Looked like a great day for a ride. Has the look like you had it all to yourself.
Happen to know what the Temperature was where you were when you took the photos.
Must have been because of the elevation. There was very little evidence of Spring ( green ) in the area.
Here much further north, in South Central, Ohio people have mowed their lawns, shrubs are greened up, trees are leafing out.
Bike looks really nice ! Dolph :)
Thanks for the good comments folks [thumbsup]

Western NC, along two different roads that interchange with the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is all within 30-45 minutes of my house

Sounds good to me, there's tons of great riding around here, I'm about 30 minutes west of Asheville. Plenty of riding within the tank range of a Monster, as that's my other ride.

Not many out so I pretty much was all alone. :) I took most pics standing in the middle of the road. It was 50-60F, but we're still having nights in the 30's, and the elevation does play into the lack of spring. Trees are just now leafing out down low where most of us live (2000-3000ft) I was probably up around 4000-4500ft, just below two different Blue Ridge Parkway interchanges.
I had been out for 20 mins yesterday when I realized I forgot my camera at home. It was a beautiful day to ride yesterday.

Yes it was too bad I was stuck inside nearly all day studying. 76 degrees and sunny with a light breeze yesterday. Funny your temps in the mountains so close to me are so different. Everything near me is pretty much green or full bud and my lawn is so damn thick the mower can't handle it.
The grass is like that, my Maple trees have bloomed & have those little helicopter seed things ready to fall. No leaf spikes yet though. The ornamental trees have mostly leafed out though. The Bartlett pears have bloomed & are completely leafed out as well as most Japanese Maples. We're still dealing with frost every now and then ~

I didn't say grass lol. I said lawn. If I had grass in my lawn it would be thick but grass is a minority in my yard. My "lawn" consists of those prickly bastard that stick in you feet mixed with fire ant hills and dandelions.
How do you like the SS by the way? In what way does the chassis differ from the monster? Lighter, easier turn in, more confident?

Monster? Organized chaos compared to the SS. The Monster actually tips in quicker, but is a bit sloppier with holding a line and such and feels very twichy. The SS turns in slightly slower, but is more like a scalpel. Pick your line, point it in and it will hold it with little effort. The Monster is more forgiving if you have to modify your line mid-turn. The SS is more stable and solid feeling, even on poor pavement.
