Title: Leather Guy/Richard Lee is back
Post by: Spidey on April 19, 2009, 09:49:48 AM
Good news.  Richard Lee is back doing leather repair in SF.  For those of you in need of leather repair, Richard does really good work.  And he's a bunch cheaper and faster than Johnson's Leather (who also does good work).

Last I checked, he does't do gloves unless it's an easy fix.  Neither does Johnsons.  Something about needing a special machine to do 'em.  Helimot will, but they're the only place I've found.  I'm thinking about taking a place of my helds to a cobbler.  I betcha they can fix 'em up guuuuud.

I had a cobbler repair my gloves, too--$10.  I had torn the seam in the thumb.  They added some leather to reinforce the spot and then restitched.

Richard is perfect for everything else.   [thumbsup]

Great news! Too bad about glove repair. That seems to be the most common one. I've passed on the word about Richard to my D Store coworkers. I don't know if we're going to tell customers about him yet since there may be a conflict of interest with Johnson's.
