Title: Anyone up for a little wrench day valve adjustment? Post by: Desmostro on April 19, 2009, 05:58:57 PM There comes a time in a preson's life when they must stand up and do their own valve adjustments. [wine]
Anyone up for a little wrench day? I have beer, garage, and some tools. Who's done it before? Title: Re: Anyone up for a little wrench day valve adjustment? Post by: desmoquattro on April 19, 2009, 06:48:37 PM I too need to do valves...in!
Title: Re: Anyone up for a little wrench day valve adjustment? Post by: Cynic on April 19, 2009, 07:20:45 PM I'm over due on my bike... but I'm a complete and utter NUB so I'm only in if someone's willing to hold my hand through it :)
Title: Re: Anyone up for a little wrench day valve adjustment? Post by: mostrobelle on April 19, 2009, 09:12:06 PM Don't you guys have four-vavlers? :o I'm gettin' close to needing one. Not sure where I'm at. Enzo and I usually do both bikes together, but I've been racking up the miles a lot more than he lately.
Title: Re: Anyone up for a little wrench day valve adjustment? Post by: Vindingo on April 19, 2009, 09:58:44 PM I'm about 500 away from needing a service... count me in if people are doing them

The four-valver (http://www.flickr.com/photos/30869581@N00/442771550/#) is fine. The two-valver (http://www.flickr.com/photos/30869581@N00/640553894/#) needs some attention. Title: Re: Anyone up for a little wrench day valve adjustment? Post by: remy on April 20, 2009, 09:44:42 AM I'm in to watch an learn. I feel more confident working on my own bike every time I go to one of these things.

Title: Re: Anyone up for a little wrench day valve adjustment? Post by: EEL on April 20, 2009, 03:20:12 PM ok now we need an expert. Who's done this before ? I've done this 5 times on 3 bikes. All NON DS1000 motors (which is 90% of all ducs for the last decade anyways) I'd be willing to teach. I just got mine done two weeks ago so its all fresh in my mind. Let me know if you guys need me there. I've only done 2V's so though I can be helpful on 4V, I dont consider myself an expert in 4V bikes. I've got the the micrometer engine turning tools etc someone else needs to supply the torque wrenches, shims and gaskets, anti sieze, and loctite PS If anyone's here has DS motors timing belt tension is something I havent dealth with. So this WILL be an issue. Title: Re: Anyone up for a little wrench day valve adjustment? Post by: Cynic on April 21, 2009, 10:27:42 AM I was thinking we'd actually *cook* pizza.
