Question:
Do you prefer Monsters w/ belly pan or fully nakes
Option 1: Yeh!

Option 2: Neh!

Help me decide! On some days I love the look of a Monster with a belly pan, on other days, I prefer the Monster stripped down to bare essentials.
What do you prefer? Pros/Cons of belly pan?
P.S. These pics are from Riding House and not my bike:

Funny--I was thinking about the same thing today about my bike. :D
I really like the look of the pan. I say go fer it. [thumbsup] <vroom> [moto] <vroom>
I like 'em. I had a full pan on my 620, the sort that would be track legal, and now one of the chin-fairings on my 900. It covers up the looks of that god-awful looking header on the monsters. I love the bikes, but that narsty looking pipe just hanging out there detracts a lot from the look IMO
One of mine before and after the belly pan..
I actually like it mor with it on..
with out.

I like the monza belly pan, like the one Juan has, It looks badass... Anything bigger than that, I don't like...
Well Dawg,,, I think that depends on alot of things. I seen a S4RS with udder removed & a Termi Shortie clamped onto 2 straigth pipes. It looked odd the way the pipe from the front cylinder hung out there in the open,,,but a Belly pan/Cowl may have smartened that up.
Actually,, I like them on most bikes.
Neh! A true Monster is a naked Monster. The less plastic/CF the better. IMO
Juan's pictures are what did it for me [thumbsup] I'm getting one. Less naked yes, but it balances the visuals IMO.

rgramjet has got what I had on my 620 and Juan has the chin fairing I mentioned for the 900.
The full pan really hides the headers - but it's bit of hassle since mine mounted using one of the rear set bolts. So to chainge the oil, it meat pulling a rear set too.
The chin fairing needs off too, but that's just 4 allen bolts. Easy peasy
The monza completes the bike imo. one note of caution though. If you get one and have a midpipe you will want to have some header tape on hand. The new DP midpipe will touch the bellypan and you will smell smoke...from what i hear LOL. Don't ask. Header tape cleared that up. Other than that it fits up very nicely. I have the carbon one.

Definitely a [thumbsup] ....

I'm with Ohmic. A Monster is a naked bike. It should have the minimum amount of plastic in the form of fairings, panels, etc.
If you need a belly pan for the track, then it belongs on the bike. If you don't need it for that purpose, you don't need it for any purpose.

Sorry. I'm a bit quick on the trigger today. It's a rough day for me and tomorrow is just going to be worse.

You turn 50? Congrats. I'm nearly there, but I'm feeling pretty old today anyway.

Very true for me too; but I got rid of just about anything plastic and replaced it with CF... ;)

I ran across Ferracci's ebay store and found an old roadracing brand chin fairing and I snagged it, takes up the space between the head and front wheel, fills it out a little.

Based on the two pics the OP posted, the pan shown looks better...
Hey congrats on turning 50! Tis the year to do it, that's for sure. Don't sweat it, revel in it. Use it as the best excuse ever to treat yourself to stuff. In my case it was a fine excuse for buying the Tricolore. You ain't gettin older, you're gettin' phaster!

I thought you said you were turning old...
Now you've hurt my delicate, geriatric feelings.

^^ Smoggy Day Huh? [cheeky]
But I vote no - my initial idea was to add one and I don't think they look bad -just not what I want YMMV
If I had to have a pan, I would go with the Monza [thumbsup]
