Title: S2R1000 Set up for old man Post by: Gramps on April 22, 2009, 10:36:34 AM [moto] Just got back from my ride home from the local Ducati dealer here in Minnesota. Had them do a spring oil and filter change and install red Rizmo bars on top of my Genmar risers. This mod along with my Wildhair lowered rider pegs has my bike just right for me. I was thinking about trading my Monster in for a Ducati GT1000 to get a more relaxed riding position. But now the Monster is perfect for me. Anyone needing a little more comfort might try these mods. 62 years old and still like to carve the curves.

I still ride a lot, and I also spend a lot of time tinkering with the bike. With a stock setup on my bike, I do get a sore butt after about 2 hours, but I don't think that's related to age. I haven't slowed down for health reasons yet, although I found out I don't bounce as graceful as I used to. I'm still sore from a crash a month ago.
