Title: Re: anyone used this reservoir? Post by: kopfjäger on April 23, 2009, 07:27:17 PM Looks heavier than stock... Yeah, Brembo is known for heavy parts. :) Title: Re: anyone used this reservoir? Post by: NAKID on April 23, 2009, 07:30:49 PM Brembo is stock on mine, but the Aluminum mount that I have is much thinner. This thing looks cool, but as I see it, it's probably heavier. Sure, maybe it's only a couple of ounces, but it all adds up. Look at the people that put Ti bolts on their bike...

Found a better way :D Title: Re: anyone used this reservoir? Post by: kopfjäger on April 23, 2009, 07:34:24 PM Brembo is stock on mine, but the Aluminum mount that I have is much thinner. I guess you will have to get someone to weigh them. Title: Re: anyone used this reservoir? Post by: Mash on April 23, 2009, 09:30:07 PM I've seen those Brembo mounting arms in all different colors on eBay for less than $10.
Title: Re: anyone used this reservoir? Post by: booger on April 23, 2009, 10:15:29 PM It's not billet, it's cheap ALU alloy. Same kind of alloy that fake carabiners and bottle openers are made out of, and I doubt if it's real Brembo. Probably weighs very little to be honest due to its low-density metallurgy and would do the job neatly but I like TAftonomos' solution better.
Title: Re: anyone used this reservoir? Post by: herm on April 24, 2009, 05:31:21 AM pretty nice...
but when i read an ebay sellers description that has similar grammar to a Nigerian lawyer, i get a little nervous. and yeah, i realize that english is not their native language. Title: Re: anyone used this reservoir? Post by: TAftonomos on April 24, 2009, 05:46:40 AM I'm going to order a few of the wire ones that are pictured [thumbsup]
They are $35 + shipping, but if you get in on the first order, the shipping will be free. [drink] Title: Re: anyone used this reservoir? Post by: junior varsity on April 24, 2009, 06:07:42 AM Yeah thats not real Brembo.

Post by: DucHead on April 24, 2009, 11:55:33 AM Why not put the $35 back in your pocket, and grab a coat hanger, some needle nose pliers and a hammer? :)

I am sure you can do the same with the wire reservoir holder. (http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo330/toc30/DSC_1390.jpg?t=1240603823) Title: Re: anyone used this reservoir? But alas, I have something even better. Some .095" Ti welding rod I've got laying around. Just need to bend a loop on one end, fuse it, bend/cut/loop the other end. FREEBIE - zip zero nada.
