Title: Brutha can ya spare a ramp? Hampton Roads only
Post by: Bun-bun on April 24, 2009, 09:26:15 AM
I need to get my bike onto my truck, and off again. Does anyone in Hampton roads have a folding bike ramp that I could borrow for a week?

Yeah, if necessary, I can just use the 2x10 in the barn, but it'd be really nice to have a folding one.

You really shoud look into ramp master ramps, if you have a pickup, cost about as much as a set of tires. http://www.ramp-master.com/motorcycle.html (http://www.ramp-master.com/motorcycle.html) I am totally self sufficient, load even my custom Victory Kingpin by myself and with the mods I have made it has to be close to 750 lbs in weight. Combined with a condor wheel chock mounted in the bed, removeable for track days BTW, I load and unload my bikes all the time by myself. just a thought for all. - Gene

That is basically what I use with the metal ramp ends so that it doesn't slip off the tailgate.  You can borrow it if you want, still not folding.  A circular saw could make it 1/2 the size real quick.

And turn me into a modern Evel Kneival. [moto]
