Probably piston marks on the nail heads.
Quote"We certainly believe the nail gun is responsible for the death â€" there's no doubt about that," he said.
Not a person using a nail gun, but the nail gun, on its own volition, decided it had enough and was going to kill the man. Inanimate objects strike again!

I had someone shoot me in the wrist with 16 penny when I was 21 years old. Jebus, it hurt. I will never forget that hurt.
Torture? All you'd have to do is pull the nail gun out of the box and crank up the compressor ............I'd tell you anything you wanted to know. Or would make up anything you seemed interested in.

I'm going to head to your house with that setup and have you sign your bike over to me.
In other words, I'll make you an offer you can't refuse.

+1 I accidently popped a framing nail into the web between my thumb and forefinger once. Unfortunately, it was a ring shank nail. I had to go to the ER and have them pull it out. Several times I've had a finish nail come thru the board I was holding and puncture flesh. They don't hurt nearly as bad.
any chance he was anemic and the iron in the nails was a poor man's cure?

I kindly beg to differ with you Sir. :)
I shot an 18 gauge trim nail through the knuckle on my middle finger.........while it was flexed. :o
very, very, painful.
I tried to pull it out with a pair of lineman pliers.
even more painful.
later at the ER, the doctor pulled it out and it made a popping sound. like lip smacking pop.
He says "well, that was gross". ;D
I don't recommend this mod.
